“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
Could it be that every epic tale is a story of the King?
Good vs evil, adventures to be told,
Imaginary characters truer than we know,
Patmos reveals reality to its natural scale.
Could it be that every epic tale is a story of the King?
Blessings and curses packaged in creativity’s care,
Innocence dies as the enemy emerges on the scene of all that’s Tov,
Tension and conflict abound through the freedom of choice.
Could it be that every epic tale is a story of the King?
Fairies and trolls, understudies for angels and demons,
Froto, Lucy, Harry, heroes on imagination row, while
Golum, Jadis, Voldemort play their antagonistic roles.
Could it be that every epic tale is story of the King?
The landscape of inspiration, a catalyst for
all that lives and moves and breathes,
mirroring something Greater, illumining what’s most True.
Could it be that very epic tale is a story of the King?
There is no escaping good vs. evil.
I can call it mine but wonder from where that thought emerged.
Are we dreaming up, or discovering... What has been here all along?
